Could this be lactose intolerance?

My toddler is lactose intolerance, and won't drink any thing else?

• My toddler is lactose intolerance, and won't drink any thing else? We just recently discovered that our 19 month old is lactose intolerance, and she won't drink any other forms of milk. We tried everything from soy, almond, rice, coconut, lactose free Milks. And she won't do any of them. We are worried that she's not getting the nutrients she needs. A child her age needs 500 mg of calcium, 400 iu of Vit D, half her diet needs to be good fats, and calorie intake is 1000-1500. She seems to be flourishing, however the lactose intolerance is a new situation, so I don't won't her to start being deficient. The problem she has with dairy including cheese, yogurt and goats milk, is her eczema and diarrhea. When we took all dairy out of her diet everything cleared up. We then tried dairy again to see if the eczema and diarrhea would come back and sure enough it was back the next day. So nothing w diary in it will unfortunately work for her, as to she loves cows milk so much. :( I was wondering if any one knows if hemp milk taste like skimmed cow's milk. This is my next purchase to see if she will drink it. It has tons of nutrients and good fats. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  i had the same problem as a child and was severly underweight when the moron pediatrician finally figured out why i had chronic diarrhea. supposedly i did okay with soy milk (i have no clue about hemp milk) but they actually started me on cereal around 12 mos and i was fine.
