Setting up my first appointment?

  • im just over 14 weeks and am going to be making my first appointment. Do I make it at an OBGYN? this is my first pregnancy, I have no idea what i'm doing, and I don't wanna sound like an idiot when I call to set up an appt.

You need to make an appointment with an obgyn, yes. When you call just say you want to make an appointment for pregnancy. They will ask for the date of your last period. Most doctors want to see patients starting at 8 weeks, so you are a little behind on the prenatal care...you should call asap.

Yes make an appointment with the OBGYN. Just tell them you are pregnant and need to set up your initial appointment. Theyll ask how far along you are and might make a rude comment about you being 14 weeks and having not come in yet (i didnt know until 20 weeks i had no symptoms and they made rude comments). But you can just tell them you went to the ER and found out there! Congrats!!
