Why would a teenager want to become pregnant?

they look at a baby as something that is cute and that they could dress up. They only look at the good about a baby and never the not so good like lots of money and restless nights

She is crying out for LOVE, you need to tell her that babies do NOT give immediate love and boyfriends run off when they find out that they are gonna be a daddy! tell her you would (Even if you woudnt) just to scare her. you need to scare her. She wants to be loved and have a family, she is mature for her age way beyond her years, she is probably nto allowed to express herself and she needs to get out and have fun i wanted kids young until I realized that I can go out and party and drink and have fun! Alright, here's my thoughts. Why would a teenager want to be pregnant? (1) Hormones. In the "olden days", girls did get married and have babies younger, and just because society says that this isn't right doesn't mean that the chemistry in the body is any different. (2) Seeing other people with babies. It's a girl thing. You see a baby, you want a baby. (3) She wants her own life, to have something to raise and nurture. Now what to do about it? I think you should definitely get her involved somewhere where she has to take care of babies (and toddlers) like Sunday School or whatever, but make sure it's not just where she sees how cute they are. Make sure she sees them crying, and pooping, and screaming, and pooping some more. THAT is what being a mommy will be like for her. Maybe hook her up with a counsellor to talk to, perhaps there's more serious issues here. I mean, you say you have a good family and all, but maybe she feels pressured and that's why she's "rebelling". Hopefully that helped some.

I don't understand it either. I mean for one, I hate the way my body looks after having kids. Why would anyone want that? Sometimes I want to just do what I want to do, but I can't. I'm jealous of people my age with no children who can do whatever they want. Anyone who wants babies young is just stupid. I did not want a baby, it was an accident. And I will never take it back but sometimes I wonder how different my life could have been...

she longs for affection that she thinks a man will give her but she is completely wrong, yes he will give her the affection and attention she needs for a little while but then they start to grow apart even more if she ends up pregnant and she becomes a single mother and no guy wants to be with a teenage girl that has kids. there must be a reason she is feeling lonely or not cared for and she wants to be card for. I would sit down and have a talk with her about how much you care about her and you are there for her and are worried about what her future would hold as asingle mom. i used to work at subway making like 6.50 an hour and i couldnt even pay just a car pmt and car insurance on that amount of money. now i make double that and my husband makes over tripple that and us together are still struggling and dont have a lifestyle with lots of useless crap we only have things we need and it is really hard. she needs to stay in school and get a great paying job

Are your parents controlling....? or maybe really strict? Even if you come from a good family a lot of teen girls want to feel special and like they have something to live for. She probably thinks that if she has a baby she will get to be its parent so therefore she has control. And she will definitely get attention. Because she is so young she doesn't realize the responsibility of having a child at 13! I am so glad to hear that your such a good big brother to your little sister!

by the sounds of it you have done all that you can as a brother maybe you should try getting someone else to talk to her and try to make her see sense she obviously isn't listening to you so there is no use wasting your time i know its hard to see or hear your sister talking about having a baby when she is a baby herself but it might be time to try someone who might get her to listen and see sense try not to worry to much good luck

Have you tried showing her real birth videos on youtube? Make sure she sees the heads coming out, it just might work!
