Normal fetus heart beat?

I agree that the whole heart beat theory is an old wives tale and to ignore it!! The decrease in heart rate could simply be because she is sleeping or resting... Congratulations and good luck!!

I think if the doc isn't woried then you shouldn't be either...but if you are really concered you need to really discuss this with your doctor he is the only one that could explain something like this. Good luck hun just try and relax! Okay :)

my girl's heart rate was around 140 throughout my whole pregnancy. 135 is completely normal :) if you have more concerns, mention it to your doctor at the next visit. i'm sure if they thought something was wrong they would let you know.

Normal fetal heartbeat is 120-170. The old wives tale says that girls have faster heartbeats than boys, but you can't put too much stock in that. My daughter was usually around 160 and my son was usually around 135, but sometimes his was higher and sometimes hers was lower. If your doctor's not worried then you shouldn't be either. You can never be sure of the sex based on the heartbeat.
