Preeclampsia symptoms with low blood pressure?

• Hello everyone! I am 34 weeks pregnant, I am having some of the classic symptoms of preeclampsia without the blood pressure issues. I have been swelling, seeing the little flashing spots, blurred vision, upper abdominal pains, faintness and dizziness, headaches, and occasional rapid heart beat. I went to the doctor yesterday and they told me I also had protein in my urine, but since my blood pressure was only 104/62 they weren't concerned. Needless to say I still am, all these other symptoms just dont seem right to me. Before I got pregnant my blood pressure was always on the high side... Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

  If your blood pressure seems low to you, and you're having faintness and dizziness, you could be dehydrated. The symptoms can be similar in pregnancy. Make sure you're drinking lots of fluids - the drop in blood pressure occurs because your blood volume needs to increase 40-50% in order to supply both you and the baby. If you don't drink enough fluid, your body has trouble maintaining your blood volume. I've had some friends have the same thing, and they started having contractions, but the contractions stopped once they had some IV fluids.
