How long does it take to get your menstrual cycle back?

• i got pregnant while being on the pill and didn't find out until roughly 4.5-5 months later because i still had a period up until about 5.5 months. i recently had my first baby april 14th through a c-section; it was a very complicated birth for both him and me. i bled as normal women do after they have their babies for that 3-4 week span and then it went away. i wasn't able to breastfeed so i'd imagine i should have already had an actual period. only i still haven't had one and its the end of june. no i haven't had sex yet either because i've been waiting for a period to make sure everything is back to normal; as well i can't start my birth control either until i've had a period. has anyone experienced this? how long till it goes back to a normal cycle or when should i be expecting it? thanks for the help!

  I did not get mine until 15 months after the baby but I breast fed till about 14 months. I would make an appointment with your doctor. Just to be safe. Lisa www.bumpfashion.com
