What Birth control is safe and works?

Could I be pregnant? or is this how birth control works?

• I started birth control about a month and a half ago. I waited the 7 days to have sex like they said. I skipped over the last row of pills so I wouldn'thave a period( My doctor said I could do that, but I would have some spotting). I started spotting as soon as I started my second pack and Im STILL spotting!!! I have been for 2 weeks. Its light and done not skip days and at first it was a dark color then got even darker now it is a really light brown/red color and its really thick. My friend told me I was pregnant and Now the thought is stuck in my head. My birth control is Microgestin Fe 1/20.

  Birth Control pills work were you take the first 3 rows of pills then you will have 1 row with a different color pill when its time for you to take those your period should start. You don't have to eat them as they are pretty much sugar. And with you just starting to take these your body will do different things. it messes with your hormones! Im pretty sure you are not pregnant!! But what you have to worrie about is if you miss a pill and have sex with no other protection. thats how i got my first Son!
