Birth control question?

Planned Parenthood Clinic birth control question?

  • Hello, I am a teenager interested in birth control pills. I've been researching and found out that there is a clinic called Planned Parenthood that prescribes you birth control pills without parental consent. I have talked to my parents about birth control but they are against it. However, I feel that this is the best choice because I am becoming more sexually active and would like to be as safe as possible. I know that using a condom prevents most pregnancies but I'd like to be put on the pill as well just to be extra safe. Planned Parenthood seems like the best way for me to get birth control without parental consent, but since I am a minor, I would like to know about the payment and insurance that comes from getting birth control from this clinic. Thank you so much for any help!

  • Answer:

As far as I know its free. When i was a teenager I used to drive a few of my friends down when we were all in High school. they had no money. As far as I know its still that way. By the way you may have to have a consultation and fill out a bit of paperwork. bring your ID I say. Otherwise you should be good to go,

I am in UK so we get it all free but can I just tell you that taking the pill will make you gain weight and put you at a higher risk of breast cancer. The planned parenthood or as we call if family planning clinic, will weight you, check blood pressure and do smear test, Good Luck
