Metal taste in mouth?

  • I just started taking the gummi bear vitamins (i know an adult taking vitmins made me kids lol) but could that cause the metal taste in your mouth? I've been getting this taste on and off for 2 days now...is that a def. sign of pregnancy? Thanks.

    I got the metal taste quite often with my 2nd pregnancy. It actually was like I'd eaten from the kitty litter box. I knew it was tied to my diet so I started cutting things out. Finally, I figured out that is was milk. I cut it out & the taste was gone. Instead of gummi bear vitamins, you may want to try Flinstones. If you suspect pregnancy, then take a pregnancy test, no taste in your mouth is going to be a defining sign of pregnancy.

No, it's not a definite sign of pregnancy. Usually it's a sign of an iron deficiency more than anything.

I asked this very question about two weeks ago-and got the same responses about it being because of iron deficiency ..which i thought couldn't be the case because I had been taking pre-natal vitamins for two months and ate plenty of iron rich foods. It could be the vitamins, especially since you haven't been taking them very long, but it can also be a sign of pregnancy (but not a definite one). Two days after I had the metallic taste I tested at 11dpo--BFP!!

in Panama when w women is suspected to be pregnant they have her sit under a mango tree and eat a mango , if the mango taste metallic then she is pregnant if the mango taste sweet then she isnt pregnant.

No sign is definete but yes that is a sign of pregnancy. I reallt doubt your gumme bear vits are the cause though. Take a test as soon as you think you have missed a period.

I have never heard of a metallic taste being a sign of pregnancy. Not saying some have had it, just never heard of it... The little blue plus on the pee stick is the clearest sign I know of!
