What other job can I get(other than a lawyer) with a justice studies degree and prelaw degree that will make..?
-
a lot of money so I can raise a family and have a nice house and not be poor and never have to use assistance (I would rather starve to death then be on welfare/WIC ever... thats embarrassing). I don't want to change my major right now because I am 3 years in and I will have to start over if I changed my major, so I am thinking, I could work in probations? Or something.. i need something thats not super physical either because I have cerebral palsy.. and I need something that wont require me to be in school longer.... I wish I could just start my own business... like a clothing store or something. Basically I might just be in panic mode right now because I am in the summer going into my junior year and I haven't taken a practice LSAT or studied for it... and I don't know when i am supposed to take it or how to prepare... I don't have a million dollars to pay for the extra classes and books for it... I have never volunteered (I know thats important) and i don't know where I would want to volunteer... I just want to finish school... get married and have a baby not go to school anymore. But I love law too so... idk what to do with my life. My parents will kill me if I decide not to go to law school, especially if it is to move out of state and start a family with my bf (my plan) lol

First of all you are just panicing. Breath deeply exhale. L-sat do it to everyone. Every lawyer i know has been there. You should look into paralegal jobs, clerks, law enforcement federal, secret service, child or elderly advocate, social services, history teacher, the skys the limit with some flexible tweaking. You should take the l-sat studies with other's like you they are out there. Get involved with a firm ASAP volunteer as an office clerk to put it on a resume. Get your foot in the door. I have paid for expenes for l-sats, bar exams etc for employees showing potential and commitment. Other firms have also. Every action you purse may open that door to possibility. If I were you slow down on weddings to invest for both of your futures now for greater options down the road for your family. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
It sounds like you do not wish to continue your schooling after the next year. You could be a legal assistant, paralegal (which is better), or legal clerk. Basically, you would work for a lawyer, law firm, judge, or court. You might also consider teaching. Another option might be corrections or social work. Unfortunately, none of them make "bank" but you can do reasonably well if you are smart with your money and actually plan for retirement.
