How do I convince my parents to buy me a trampoline?

How to convince parents to let me buy a camera? (calling all parents of teenagers)?

  • Okay i want my own but my parents refuse to let me buy one with my own money. I have the money, i am responsible and i take alot of pictures with their camera. The reason i want to buy a camera is so i have one of my own and do not have to worry about damaging theirs...they are afraid i will so they dont let me take it many places. My parents think i will be just like my brothers- get the camera and never use it which doesnt make sense because i am always taking pics with their camera. I cannot use my brothers cameras because they are very old and bulky and inconvenient to carry around. the batteries last about an hour they are so old. But my parents insist i should use theirs... Please help me as i need to buy a camera to take to camp...

I am a mom and I do not see what the issue would be with buying your self something especially with your own money! tell them you need it for a photography class at school so you are going to go buy it. tell your parents (in a respectful tone) that they need to pick there battles, and having a camera is really innocent. good luck

Daisey has a point. My mom wuldn't let my sis touch a camera after what she did. At 14 years old 14!!! She took pics of her in made up langure. When my mom went to pick up the photos he police were there ready to tae her in for child porn! My sis fessed up bcause of it and it wasn't pretty. Or your parents think there are better things you can use that moey for. Just ask yourself "Do I NEED a camera?" Don't fight just give it time she ill let you soon.

they probly think ur gonna take porno pictures on it thats why they wont let you have your own just go buy one ... hide it from them keep it in your purse ,i did that when i was like 15 with somoething else pay for the camera in cash so it dont show up on a bank statement, get a shirt or something of the same value of the camera u want from your friend, and tell them that you used the money to buy the shirt..and then hide the camera in your room... if they find it say its your friends i guess.
