Do French universities generally have spring breaks?

My daughter going on two Spring Breaks. Good idea?

  • My daughter is 18 and a senior in HS. She has two very close groups of friends. Her high school friends and a group a year ahead of her, Freshman in College. She's very fun and well liked so both groups are wanting her to go on Spring Break with them. Ones in March and the other in April. She's a good girl, works, good grades and would be paying her way for both trips. Although she is my "wild child" and does enjoy the parties. Is two Spring Breaks just too much for her at this age? Both are in Panama City, Florida.

  • Answer:

If you allow her to go, you'll be showing her trust and respect, which she will most likely return in kind. That was me two years ago, and the fact my mother let me go willingly, instead of having me beg and argue, meant a lot. If you're concerned, talk to her and let her know your worries, but also let her know you believe she'll take care of herself - she will listen, even if she doesn't seem like she is!
