Should taunting be allowed in youth sports?

Please share similar stories if you have them. I was at a very intense AAU basketball game in Vegas Friday night. Big tournament, lots of teams lots of people coming in and out (The don't leave or you'll be parking around the corner type of event.) Anyways, while waiting for my sons game we were watching these other two teams go at it. This is 13u so the kids are all 13 and under (most 13.) Anyways one team had this point guard who was destroying. Bringing his team back with 2 3's and then a steal and a 4 point play that made the entire building erupt. I see a man who is cheering extra hard, he's a white guy but the kid looked mixed race so I ask "is that your son" and he says "yeah, and he's only 10." So now I'm even more impressed. Anyways, I guess the boy has a reputation for lighting up the 4th quarter because a group of 18u kids on the sidelines were bragging saying "We're going to have to start calling that lil n**g@ "the 4th." So after he completed the comeback vs kids 3 years older than him he basically got worshiped. We ended up playing them Saturday morning in the semi finals. I was SHOCKED at both crowds behavior. Every time the 10 year old would touch the ball in the 2nd half their crowd would chant "He can't guard you, clap clap, clapclapclap." While he was torching anyone we sent at him. No offense and it's probably an age thing not a race thing, but the fans of the 10 year olds team were majority young and black. Anyways our fans weren't any better. The 10 year old was a really good looking kid (he looked like he should be a child model or something lol.) So our fans started counter chanting "Pret-ty boy! Pret-ty boy! Pret-ty boy!" Every time this 10 year old touched the ball. Some were even booing this poor kid. At one point I got up to find the director of the event it got so bad. It was PATHETIC! Do you think kids this young should be taunted?

Answer:
I would say nobody deserves to be taunted, but people do. It's a lack of compassion along with poor sportsmanship. To me it starts with the upbringing of an individual, because the adults promote this type of behavior so it gets past on to their children. My father always taught me you always want to treat people the way you want to be treated. I've always lived by that! It's too bad that others can not understand this concept.
