CPS wants me to take a drug test but I have no way to get there to take it.?

They will continue to investigate, and it will look badly on you. How do you get to work? You'd think clearing your name with cps would be enough reason to find the $2 to hop the bus, or ask a friend for a ride, or, um, you could walk. Inconvenience or not its something that apparently has to be done. You could get hauled into court and it ordered that you take the test, which is worse than going in on your own and being interrupted for an afternoon.

Omg..find a way over there. This is for your kids are you insane. Nothing should stop you from taking the test unless you know you are going to fail it & that is what I suspect. Anyone who is innocent would go over there and take that test for their kids and nothing would stop them. Period.

As long as you've been in contact with her, and not ignoring her, it should be fine. Did she give you a time limit? If not, she can't hold you responsible for not having it done.

FIND a way. this is your kids future youre talking about. are they not worth a little inconvenience?? if you keep putting it off your social worker is going to think its because you want time for it to get out of your system.....

If you have 10 minutes you can call your local adult probation office, and they might be willing to do the drug test for you. That would only work if cps doesn't require blood test.

You need to get the test done. They need to be able to prove your ex wrong saying that there is no pot smoking going on in your house. It may be a huge inconvenience but CPS is wanting to know if you think your children come first. It may sound crazy but a lot of people don't care about their kids and will totally skip out on stuff CPS tells them to do just because. So you need to look good in CPS's eyes and just do it no matter how big the inconvenience just so you can prove you love your kids and take care of them properly.

Go on your lunch break and take the bus, a taxi, have a friend drive you. If they want you to take the test I don't think you should have to pay for it and if you do then make your ex pay for it!

1. Figure out how to get the pot out of your system, it's not that hard, and I really don't think that pot is that big of a deal. Now, if you were a meth head, I'd think differently, but I know plenty of parents that smoke pot (I don't) that are GREAT 2. Get over there and take the test. Find a way. I know you can, somehow. It's totally do able, but CPS is not something to screw around with. Ask if it's reimbursable, I'm sure you have plenty of other stuff to pay for (like kids stuff)
