What are some games that 4 and 5 year olds can play?

What English language educational games to play with 4-7 year olds?

• Basically, I'm in Moscow teaching English in kindergarten. Typically their class is 15-30 minutes long. Now, they require that all classes I'm teaching are 45 minutes long. It's a pretty long time for a 4 year old. So my question is what games can you make up to play with them? Say one of the games we play is there's a bunch of toys, than they close their eyes and I hide one of them. They have to tell me which one is missing. Or I'd have them stand up and I say - show me your nose, show me your ears etc. Any other ideas? Something that we can move around with, play ball and so on?

  Songs and nursery rhymes. Old MacDonald to teach them animal names. Head Shoulders Knees and Toes to teach them body parts. You could try 'Simon Says' too. Probably best to steer clear of things like 'Ring 'o Roses' and the 'Hockey Cockey', because they won't get it! But most children's songs are developed to help reinforce vocabulary, so try looking up a few that would be relevant to what your teaching. Most have actions and dances, or you could be creative and make them up yourself!
