My head is bleeding everywhere?

My dad hit my mom and she is bleeding from her head, what should I do?

  • My dad just came home from a business trip and my mom and I were having a nice day and then as soon as he came home he started accusing my mom for not doing anything useful because she wasn't helping me with some SAT prep. My mom asked him what he does around the house to help, and then my dad got a little angry. He started yelling at her saying that I, nor my father need her and she can get the hell out of the house. She asked. 'really? You can live without me?'. Then my dad grabbed her by the head and threw her to the ground, and started swearing. I immediately started asking my dad if he was insane and asked him if he was out of his mind and I went to my mom. Her head was bleeding. There was an open gash and there was blood on her shirt. My dad felt extremely terrible about this, and immediately insisted we go to the hospital. My mom told him he should have thought about that before he decided to do what he did. My dad went to go get her an ice-pack and tissues and anti-biotic cream and things like that. She just said that she would go to sleep, and it would be fine by tomorrow. I am extremely scared and am urging my mom to go see the doctor, but she says that it is superficial, and she will be fine. I applied the cream and saw that it looked pretty big, but then she keeps crying and getting emotional and says it's fine, and how dad loves us and he didn't mean for it to happen. My dad is a really good man, and is extremely dignified and intelligent. My mom loves my dad to death, and my dad loves my mom to death. Sometimes they have these arguments, really about nothing. My dad is extremely stressed at work because, he works for a private equity firm and is trying to help make a company go public and his boss isn't doing him a favor by making his work-life miserable. My mom understands what my dad is going through but doesn't know what's gotten into him lately. My dad was never like this a few years ago, but recently has been only loud-mouthing my mom and I. We honestly have no idea what to do, and I know my dad feels bad about it. I know my dad, and never, NEVER, would he do anything to hurt us in anyway, but I was very surprised with this. I've been sad, and even cried a bit now, and don't know what to do about my mom and her wound and my dad and his behavior. I am a 16 year old boy, and calling the cops isn't an option, because this has never happened before, and my mom and I still love my dad and he returns the same love most of the time. I am too embarrassed to tell any of my extended family about this or even my friends, and thought someone here can help me. Thanks in advance.

Head injury can be very touchy. You should talk her into going to the ER. Then you should ask your Father and Mother to go to counseling because you are becoming frightened of how they are interacting with each other.

Get in contact with a family member and have the police called.

ur mom is literally bleeding and u r just sitting around??!!! pick up the fone and call the cops and ambulance...and care about ur mom first, she got hurt and u need to take action, after all, u do love her and hope nothing bad would happen to her, right??? and please tell someone like an aunt or uncle, as long its a friend of family member

shen eeds to go to the hospital IMMEDIATELY! Also that's cosidered battery...you can't just let your own mother bleed to death. You have to rethink your priorities she's your mom and you shouldn't disrespect her like that

Calling the police isn't an option? It won't be an option next time, because you'll be calling the coroner.

Well, the first thing I would do is type my family history on a question and answer web site. Then I would call 911. YOU should go for a nice sTROLL.

I think that you know, even though you don't want to admit it to anyone out loud, that hitting is never, ever ever ever acceptable, no matter what your dad is going through. It doesn't matter. You will have to come to terms with what happened, and get mad about it! But in the meantime, CALL THE AMBULANCE OR YOUR DOCTOR!!! Whenever somebody has a head injury it could be a lot worse on the inside (her brain) than the outside. And imagine how bad you would feel if it turns out to be really bad. Don't risk it Jake.

No one can help you if you dont call the cops or tell a family member!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
