Son's first birthday is going to be on Thanksgiving... any theme ideas?

My youngest son's very first birthday is going to be on Thanksgiving this year. Sense my whole family gathers for Thanksgiving lunch, and my husband's whole family gathers for Thanksgiving dinner, we're going to just let all that be the "parties" but also do a little separate birthday thing during desert, then let him open his presents after. I'm wanting to do a theme that is a little more nautical in colors to not just over throw the whole Thanksgiving concept. So something maybe in a more monotone color theme, like monkeys or something? Any ideas would be great. I know it's a while away still, but I plan everything really far in advanced, lol. Thanks for your help!

He will not have no earthy idea what is going in. Therefore, choose a cartoon character and go with it. He will have pictures to look back when he is older, but will not have a memory o fit, because he's just too young. Toddler parties are for the adults.

lol, I like to plan things well in advanced too. You wouldn't be over-throwing the thanks giving theme with just colors. Yellow, orange and brown sound like thanksgiving colors. If not Thanksgiving, maybe an autumn theme, with pumpkins themes. Monkeys sound nice too, perhaps a jungle theme.
