Babysitting. Having two children asking 500 dollars a month will get you 1,000 dollars a month. I know people who pay 650+ dollars a motnh for daycare so 500 dollars is pretty cheap to me. You won't need much if you already have toys for your baby. It's a great job.

Oh, I almost forgot, you can also write articles for a living. It does not pay a lot but enough.

Look on Guru.com, they advertise for freelancers. I don't know what you're trained to do, so can't really point you in the right direction.

Any work-at-home scheme you find in the Internet will be a scam. You could try the creative arts (writing, and so on), but that isn't likely to give you $1000 per month, to start, and isn't anything to count on. You could try opening a home-based daycare or babysitting. Check your local laws.

I would look into call centre work. Recently with the expanding capabilities of VOIP many companies have been insourcing thier call centres and hiring people to work form home and answer calls and offer customers service. might not be ideal with a baby, however that would be the only legitimate home based job.
