How To Buy Wholesale Junior Clothes?

I KNOW THAT BABIES GROW FAST... SO "HOW" SHOULD I BUY BABY CLOTHES?

  • If babies grow so fast and it's a waste of money to spend too much money on clothes for them, expecting them to fit in the clothes for a long time... Then HOW should I buy clothes then? Should I buy fitting clothes for when they are teensy, space it out by four months??? Dress them up in larger clothes? If I do, how much larger? And for shoes too!? How much bigger can a kid wear of larger shoes? When they're teensy, they can't even walk! At what age should I expect them to start actually leveling out in size a bit more and invest in more clothes of that specific age? Or does that not really happen until they're like... 3 years old or something? Tips please :) I have no idea.

Well for one thing don't buy them new unless they are having a good sale. Buy them at Once Upon a Child, thrift stores, or yard sales. My daughter has a ton of super cute clothes that I paid hardly anything for. You need your basics at least 5-8 onesies, 5-8 pants, a few outfits, 5-8 pairs of socks, 5-8 sleepers, and shoes aren't really an issue until the get older. My daughter is 6 months and I put her in shoes. She always kicks them off though lol. I also only paid $1.50 for them. :) Now if you buy stuff used you can get a lot more for your money. Same goes for toys, jumpers, bouncy seats, high chairs, etc. I bought everything except my daughters high chair used and saved a ton of money. Everything works just fine too. :)

Buy your clothes from consignment shops (Once Upon a Child is great!) and yard sales. They are cheap, so you aren't spending a ton of money on baby clothes. When they are small, they do outgrow their clothes quick but they also need a lot of clothes because they often spit up on their clothes, pee through their pants, or need layers because of the weather.

Don't buy more then 1 size ahead of the size he is wearing. The amount of clothes you buy will depend on how frequently you do laundry. I usually have about 10 outfits for each kid, but mine weren't spitters so I rarely used more then 2 outfits a day (and once they were about 2 months old it was down to one outfit a day). Buy clothes that fit, just don't go nuts and get every cute piece in the store. Babies don't need shoes. Actually, most podiatrist recommend against them until baby can walk. Warm socks are plenty. If you plan on having baby outside in cold weather, cover him with a blanket or use soft slippers. My daughter started slowing down once she turned 1. Instead of growing out of clothes every 3 months it's more like every 9 months.

"HOW SHOULD I BUY BABY CLOTHES?" Answer: go into a store and pay for them with money, a credit card will suffice.
