Diabetes Insipidus... does it get passed onto the kids?
-
My husband has Diabetes Insipidus... he drinks (always thirsty) and pees excessively. We have an 8 month old son. I'm hoping he never gets this. Is it hereditary? How early can it be diagnosed?

Ask a doctor.

Type I is hereditary. Your child may or may not get it. Type II is caused generally by obesity, but does tend to run in families, although it may be do largely to life style and food choices and not genetics.
