If you were induced because of high blood pressure... how high was it?
-
My blood pressure has been pretty high lately. I have been to the hospital twice for it. And now I am on strict bedrest (basically do nothing from now on) I am 36 weeks pregnant. I have to see my doctor now twice a week for my bp to be checked and a nst to be done. How high was your blood pressure when they decided to induce labor? My last few blood pressure readings were 148/86, 140/89, 150/100 and 140/86 I am really hoping my blood pressure improves... because I would like her to come naturally, when shes ready. But I guess we will see. Sorry I posted this in two sections... I am just trying to get as many answers as possible.

Answer:
I dont remember exactly what my pressures were but I was on hospital bedrest for 2 weeks diagnosed with preeclampsia when they induced me at 36 weeks. I'm surprised they aren't keeping you in the hospital to monitor you. I think my pressures while I was in the hospital ranged anywhere from 140/90 to 160/110. Just keep laying on your left side as long as you possibly can and take your bedrest very seriously... basically get up to pee and 3 minute showers. I found that literally just standing or even sitting up for a minute or two would cause my pressures to go way up while I was on bedrest. Hang in there and good luck to you!

I was induced at 36 weeks and 4 days and my BP was 165/100. I had protein in my urine and my feet and hands where super swollen. I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with Preeclampsia. Good Luck!
if it doesnt improve you will need to be induced and probably within the next week (37 weeks) so it doesnt harm the baby i was induced but mine was never that high i was 38weeks when i had my son
200/110 @ 28 wks
I was only at 145/100 when I was induced. It got WAY higher during labor though... I was exactly 37 weeks though, so considered full term. I was induced rather quickly after my first few high readings because of high protein levels in my urine and dizzy spells despite being on bedrest. I would imagine you will be induced as soon as they feel it is safe (generally 37 weeks) if you condition doesn't change quickly. Good luck!
