Answer:
I would defintely start an earlier bedtime. From what I've read and expereinced an eight month old should be taking two naps, morning and afternoon. I would try to get her down for her last nap by 1pm. Keep the routine, good job on that, and get her down for the night no later than 7pm. My daughter is nine months and she started sleeping through the night about 1.5 months ago, when we started the earlier bedtime. Here is her schedule: 6am awake - bottle 7am - breakfast 8:30-9:30/10 nap bottle 10ish lunch 12 nap 1-3 bottle 3ish dinner 5pm play for a short time bedtime routine: bath, books, jammies in crib by 6:15/6:30 Some people think this is too early but she is tired and ready to go to sleep then and she sleeps till 6 the next morning. If she is teething though she wakes up sometimes and I comfort her and give her tylenol.

Her tea? What do you mean by that? Some babies just change their sleep schedules and it's nothing to be worried about. She's probably crying cuz she's overtired. I could look up all the research but I'l just link the site that I would read so you can see if some of the reasons listed are why she might be waking up.

I think it might be worth checking if she has reflux. The acid comes out of their stomach when they lay down so they don't like it. My daughter had it real bad and always fought sleep and / or laying down. Worth a check!

Oh she's hit the difficult I'm not going to sleep and fight it all the way stage. Good luck with that. My son is almost a year and still does it. We've tried everything. He will only fall asleep for grandpa, not mama.

you might try co-sleeping, it works well for your family. it means the family sleeps together in one bed.

No more naps at 3. Nap or quiet time at noon. Warm bath at 5 with her tea. Dinner @6 and run around til she passes out. At 7 read a book turn night light on and no matter what don't give in to the crying. They are very smart little beings. They say that babies are blank slates, but they have more thought power than we know. They are quick to learn how to play us as parents and quick to learn what they can get away with.
