What can help my runny nose go away?

Stuffy/runny nose wont go away! PLEASE HELP!?

  • my daughter is six months old, and she has gotten herself a sometimes stuffy, sometimes runny nose, and its driving everyone crazy! she gets all stuffed and has trouble breathing because of it, and we just cant seem to get it to go away! we have the cool mist humidifier, we've tried putting a pillow under the head of her matress, saline drops, suctioning her nose...and her doctor said we can even give her some benadryl, which we did, and it STILL wont go away! if anyone has any other suggestions, thatd be awesome! because none of us have gotten much sleep the past three nights...

    I have to agree with the person above, the only other thing you can try is the baby vicks. In Australia you can get a eucalyptus rub called "Euky Bearub". I have used it on my son (putting it directly on his skin) since he was 4 months old and it really works to clear the nose and help them breathe easier (he has very sensitive skin and hasn't had any reaction from it). Sometimes a stuffy nose can hang around for a couple of months. I hope your little ones nose clears up soon. hm well since youve tried all of my suggestions .. last one i do when my son is stuffy is run the bath with hot hot water - sit in the bathroom with door closed for a bit .. than i give my son a bath after .. and put BABY VICKS - and do the nighttime routine and he is usually okay ... try the baby vicks. not adults vicks. but the baby vicks vapor rub! goodluck

Is she breast feeding or on formular? Cows milk is a big cause of allergies. You might want to investigate a different formular if you are feeding this way. Good luck, know what its like to have the baby wake constantly because of a persistant cold.
