Help - how can I become more motivated?

your lazy. to motivate yourself only go on the internet after you've done your chores.

Some people are motivated while others sit on their bums and smoke a cigarette whilst claiming DSS benefits. Apparently us bill footing tax payers are not allowed to shoot them, which is a shame I think.

HA! That's funny. Maybe you will get motivated when your husband hands you the divorce papers. Until, I think you should stay on here and entertain us.

Get rid of your computer if absolutely necessary. Sounds like you have a little obsession/ borderline addiction.

You just have to be strong with yourself. There's no trick to it. We'd all sit on the computer browsing the web all day if we could, but there are things to be done. It doesn't sound like you're not motivated, it sounds like your lazy. Just tell yourself that it has to be done and that you've got to do it. If you love your partner you wouldn't want to make it so that he comes home from work and then has to do all those chores when all you've done is sit at the computer all day. Part of the deal of being a stay at home mum is that you keep the house too. Turn the computer off, and set two hours a day where you are allowed to use it, and don't use it outside of those hours. Think of your partner. Look at how tired he looks when he comes home. You're making it worse for him when you could so easily make him extremely happy. You'd be able to spend that time that he does the chores together with your child.

It's okay to let them play by themselves sometimes, but not all day. Just walk away from the computer...it's what I do.

first of all, turn off your computer! i get on here a lot but i get all my stuff done and i don't neglect my son. you shouldn't need to be too motivated to make a better place for your daughter to live. and i think its pretty crappy that your husband is at work all day while you sit at home on your butt and he still has to come in and clean the house. i'm a stay at home mom married to a soldier.. he is great enough to let me stay at home with our one son and our son on the way and doens't ask me to get a job, but thats because my job is to teach, play, and do things for our kids and to keep the house cleaned up. when he is home he isn't allowed to clean, even if he just wants to.. thats my job. he shouldn't have to.. if you aren't going to do your stay at home mom job, then you need to get a real job. no point in sitting on your butt all day. did that motivate you at all?
