What happened to Gus from Eastenders a few months ago?

Best way to lay my baby?

  • My gorgeous little boy Jordan-Lee has entered the world, woohoo! After months of badbacks and nausea its such a relief! Tonight will be his 3rd night home, and as shattered as i am every night, i cannot seem to sleep? i am up every few minutes checking hes still breathing, its silly i know. i dont know if what happened in Eastenders(cot death) has made me this way, but im terrified of loosing him, knowing its something i could have prevented.. He seems fine, he wakes every 2.5-3hours for a feed, and everytime i put him back down i watch to make sure hes fully settled before perching on the end of my bed and sitting with him.. this is making my days so much more difficult as the lack of sleep is resulting in lack of housework being done and i am not back into an eating routine, i just dont feel like it. my boyfriend is currently working in america for the next 4 days, he still doesnt know his boys been born as the company he works for has had an error in the company phones communication symstems:S i know when he's back we can do the nightfeed and housework in turns etc. but im stuggling and i just need to be put at ease about how to lay him down:( i put him on his back, but i have heard he could choke if i havent fully winded him properly? :(

  • Answer:

Back is best. On his side he could roll onto his front. Never lay a baby to sleep on their front if they can not roll themselves back over. Place him at the bottom of his cot/bassinet so he cant wiggle down under the blankets. Dont put too many blankets on as overheating is a proven factor in SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) Best thing i purchased was a room thermometer, can then adjust their bedding and clothing to what you think is necessary :) Dont stress too much, you need to take care of yourself too xx

always on the back! :)

on their back is best.. my daughter wouldn't sleep on her back for months. her pediatrician told me to let her sleep in her bouncer or carseat... she said it was perfectly safe as long as she was strapped in and no lose blankets...
