How can I convince my parents to let me get a skateboard?

How to convince my parents to let me get highlights?

• I'm 13 and I have really dark blonde hair, but I get really pale in the winter. I just want lighter blonde highlights to lighten my hair so I don't look quite so white. I've asked a couple times and my dad says, "You're only 13, you don't need to be putting stuff in you hair." My moms okay with it, and she's offered to do it for me anyway, but I really don't want to direspect my dad like that. My dad's kinda weird about what he let's me do, once I asked if I could get a second piercing in my ear while at the mall and he said yes and we did it that day. But it took my years to convince him to let me paint my nails colors other then pink and red. Even still he doesn't let me do dark colors. What did you do that convinced your parents? (btw I don't really want my mom to try and convince him because I don't want to start a fight between them or anything) Also, I want out-of-the-box highlights, salon highlights are a lot more so my parents (if the they allowed me) would make me save up the money to pay for them. Which I sorta don't wanna do. (:

  sounds like your dad wants to keep you as his little girl.. but your 13 and still growing, some dads (my dad) find it harder to let these little thing happen mind you my brothers at 13 were going out on trains ect and i couldnt even walk to the deli! lol but over time he cooled of, best thing to do hun is talk to your mum and tell her how you feel about this... its not your fault if they fight about it and they prob wont, chin up
