Why is everyone trying to force me to ask her out?

• There is this girl who I was very good friends with last year. We could talk about everything. I really liked her and I think that she liked me back. One day when we were working alone on a school project, she was acting very flirty and gave a lot of signs that she liked me. However, the last day of the school year was the last day I talked to her. During the summer, I messaged her on Facebook, even though it took a lot of persuasion from one of my friends, and she did not respond after two days, so I overreacted, deleted her off my friends list, and blocked her to try to attempt to stop the message from getting to her. It turns out she messaged one of my friends after he asked her if she wanted to do something with me and him. The part that pissed me off the most was that in the message, he said that "he wanted to ask you himself, but he can be a little ****** sometimes" and she responded "ha ha, yeah he is a little ***** at times". He says she was kidding and that it is her sense of humor, but I disagree. The other day, he was fooling around and hit "add as friend" and she added me as a friend not long after. I got pissed when I saw that, deleted everyone off of my friends list, and deactivated my account. Now, I have a new account and got all of my old friends back. Everyone tells me I need to man up and ask her out, but even though I don't want to ask her out as I don't have enough courage to, I cannot stop thinking about her, as much as I want to hate her.

  im a girl, and if you're only asking her out because your friends told you that you should, then thats total ****. its your decision whether or not you're ready, make sure you're ready to handle all of the drama that comes with going out with a girl too
