Which school has the most online classes?

Which high school classes should I take?

  • Hi, hope you're having a good day! Well, next year I'm going into high school (9th grade). I am asking for some help. My essential courses are Geometry H/PreAP, Biology, Human Geography AP, Foreign language (thinking sign language), and English H/PreAP. This leaves me with 2 elective courses. I am currently in orchestra, and in a college preparation class. Both classes with earn me scholarships easily. My mother has been wanting me to join the school volleyball team (another chance for scholarships). I don't have any free electives though. I talked to my counselor and teachers, and I found out I can take summer classes to get some credits. Should I take summer classes for some credits so I'd be able to take all 3 of the elective classes? Or drop one of them and not go to summer school? If you think I should drop one, which one do you think I should drop? Also, for all you teens/adults, would this schedule push me past the limit? I still need some time for friends, or I just can't function. Thanks!

You're going to be a freshman. Calm Down. You have four years to get all your required credits. Maybe save volleyball for another year.

Don't take Summer classes. They cost a ridiculous amount of money for something that you could do for free and with your friends. Have fun your freshman and sophomore year.. experiment with the electives. An elective I took that was really fun is basketball.. I highly suggest it (and I suck at basketball). Or any gym class really. It's kinda like recess and is really fun. Or ceramics.. it's relaxing.

Geomety is pre-ap? Sign language is not a foreign language. You can get scholarships easily from those classes? Yes, athletic activity of some sort is preferred. I'm surprised your school would have it an elective instead of an extracurricular activity like all the others. This schedule is easier than what most freshman in my school take. Be warned, AP Human Geography is the only AP I've gotten a 1 (all 8 others are 4 or 5) on yet it's the class I spent the most hours trying to learn.

I'm currently 16 and a junior in high school. i know the beginning of a new school (especially high school) can seem stressful, but trust me, you are very well prepared to go into college with the classes you're taking (unless you're on the Harvard route). By the time i graduate high school i will have taken 7 AP courses, and 9 honors courses, so i understand the pressure of multiple challenging courses. you're only a teen once, and high school is fun time, try to live it up as much as possible. i suggest you keep taking rigorous courses, but do not do the summer school. if YOU want to play volleyball then play, but if band or drama is more your style then do that. high school is all about balance of fun and work.
