How does the typical nuclear family look like?

How come I don't look like my family?

  • Okay, so my ENTIRE family line is Asian (my dads side is from Mainland China and my mom's side is from Hong Kong) and for some reason me and my family members almost have no resemblance (me and my little sister and my cousin did when we were kids but now we look very different) I'm a 16 year old male BTW and here's basically what I look like physically: - Skin lighter than most Caucasians (but not extremely light though) - I'm the tallest in my blood-related family - I kind of look like a younger Keanu Reeves (slightly bigger nose though) - Everyone on my dads side is dark skinned/extremely tanned - Most on my mom's side have considerably lighter skin (but I'm still the lightest) - When I accidentally tan, my skin turns reddish unlike many other Asians I know (whose skin actually goes tan) - I have visibly "black hair" but if you look closer, its closer to brown (I never dyed it before) - I'm the only one currently in my family who can actually Sing Why do I look/act soooo differently than my family? Thanks BTW, the entire family line is either from China or Hong Kong and neither I or my parents/grandparents have blood-related relatives who were European/Caucasian. I just find it odd how my features are soo different
