16th BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS! HELP ME?

HELP! Need ideas for a 16th Birthday Party?

  • Arrgghh I am so stuck! Right, just saying this info now, I live in england and your answers are going to be ignored if you say anything bad about alcohol. You will just be wasting your time typing an answer because it will not change anything. Okay, my birthday is in less than a month and I really wanted to have a party which involed alcohol, a dj and bouncers but when we totalled it all up, it came to £400. (way too much) My mum is suggesting just having a few friends and go out for a meal but I don't think that sounds fun, and I have different gruops of friends and I just feel like it wouldn't work. I was thinking of a sleepover but, chances are, someone will bring alcohol and I just wouldn't want my parents to see my mates drunk (which is why i thought the big disco party would work because my parents would only set up and clean up at the end - they wouldn't be there for the party. The bouncers would keep things safe) So I have nooo idea what I want to do. Unfortunately I am in a group of friends that think the only way for them to have fun is to get drunk. I'm also thinking of maybe having boys at the party, but then that can limit things. But then i don't always think it is as fun when theres no boys. What did everyone do for their party??? Or do you have any ideas?? thanks guyss :) :)

I would go with the sleep over idea and tell your friends not to bring alcohol. This is your birthday not your friends birthday so tell them that you are having a sleepover but your parents quite rightly won't put up with them falling about the place and puking everywhere. The disco sounds good....but who exactly do you think is going to let you rent out their hall so that a bunch of under age kids get drunk? They wouldn't because the building will get closed down and any adults in the building can get arrested for allowing under age children to drink. And I may be wasting my time writing what I have but I also won't be the one who will be cleaning up my bedroom after letting friends puke all over it at the sleepover. I've been in that situation and its not nice, luckily though it wasn't in my room or house. So have fun with that..

IDRC if you think I'm wasting my time, you are fifteen years old-- you shouldn't drink. You're wayyy too young. You guys are still hitting puberty and growing and the like. Anyway, I'd just have a house party. If you want to invite guys, but don't know how, just plan a joint party with one of your guy friends whose birthday is around yours. I planned a joint party with one of my buddies for my seventeenth and it was a blast! We had about 25 girls there and 35-40 guys. It was huge!!!! I just play a bunch of icebreaker games like Perculate, Do You LIke Your Neighbor, Grunt Piggy Grunt, and other things. Also RockBand/Guitar Hero if you own it. Also maybe a scavenger hunt? For me, though, that ended in the cops almost being called. Some guy crashed my party and power-bombed my neighbors. And be sure to provide plenty of food and music! That's where the guys go first-- the food table! Good luck && don't drink! You can have fun sober!

first of all, i laughed when you referred to your friends as mates. haha thats cute (: anyway, what i did for my 16th, i rented a moon bounce. everyone LOVED it, especially because it had a slide attatched to it. it was about $300 for a day rental, but it could be less if you had it for a few selected hours. i hope i helped. happy birthday!
