What animal jobs can a 16 year old girl get?

• I am 16 years old and I know that I want to have a job involving animals later in life so my mom said that it would be a good idea to get a job dealing with animals now to get and see hands on expirience with animals. I was just wondering where I could be hired for this. I am not picky, I don't even care if all I'm doing is cleaning up poop or whatever, I just want a job where I can be somewhat in the animal environment so that I can realy see if I definately want to continue down that path. Can someone please give me some ideas

  Go where the animals are. Ask the local Vet if you can volunteer to work along side one of their workers. This will give you valuable experience you need to eventually ask for a job. Then if something opens up and you've done a spiffy job so far they'll consider you. Plus if something becomes available elsewhere you can claim this experience on your application. Don't forget the option of running away with the Circus but do not stand behind elephants. Many a young circus girl ended their days by making that mistake.
