Not a good idea at all. How would you ever know who you are REALLY talking to? The only friends online are those friends you know in person. (even then they could have other friends there while you are talking). So many people have had their computers hacked, money stolen or tricked into handing over money, been stalked, lied to about everything from their age to their location and much worse! Preditors can access your identity and details from as little as a photo in a school uniform, your local sports club uniform etc., they have ways to find you through conversations because they act like someone else.
