How to dress for a restaurant job interview?

Help with my Job interview at a restaurant!?

• I have a job interview this monday at a restaurant that is Mediocre-Fancy. It is an open call interview so it's not like i'm anything special for it lol. 1. It says that they'll give me a "short pop quiz" on some food service basics. What kind of questions could these possibly be?! 2. I have food experience, but not all that much. I was a waitress for about 3 months until I quit and now i'm working as a cashier somewhere else. (I'm applying for the job as a Hostess) 3. What should I wear? I was thinking High Waisted Black Dress Pants with a White Button Up. Does that sound okay? 4. What kind of questions will they ask me there? PS. I'm only 17 years old, so I won't have an advantage compared to someone who's older.. :( so any tips would be great! :D

  My guess is that their pop quiz will only be logical questions - such as is it ok to touch the food? Know the specials by heart and be able to describe the food on the menu. If you are applying for a job as hostess, that is pretty straight foreward but not as easy as one might think. You need to pay attention to what tables are available and to balance the seating. Show that you have common sense and can think on your feet. Black pants and white blouse sound fine for the interview. Interviewers generally want to know your work history and how you can be an asset to them. Be prepared with some responses. Be polite - have a copy of your resume with you - and don't fidget or wear too much make-up, hair must be neat.
