How can get I get a replacement for a stolen naturalization certificate?

  • I had all my stuff stolen (e.g. passport, naturalization certification, etc...) In order to get a replacement passport, they need a naturalization certificate, which of course, was stolen as well. So I went to the INS website and they say that ( http://www.uscis.gov/n-565 ), the fee to get me a copy of the naturalization certificate is $380. This is hugely expensive for me. Add to it that I'll have to pay $100 for a passport and $60 for a stolen passport fee, it's going to be over $500. It's like I got robbed once and now I am getting robbed again. Is there a way to somehow get a copy of the naturalization certificate for cheaper? Perhaps by going to the INS office (if one exists)?
