He spent 26 days in the hospital with his eye sockets crushed, 28 fractures in his skull, a shattered jaw and a split knee cap. The driver of the truck was later identified by Immigration Customs Enforcement agents as Geremias Morales-Martines, now 31. He did not have a social security number, driver's license, registration or insurance. He had a job, though. Morales-Martines worked at a tobacco farm in Cheatham County. It is still unknown if he had the proper documents to work there. After his release from Vanderbilt, Morales-Martines was charged with DUI, vehicular assault and four counts of reckless endangerment. In January 2009, he was found guilty of reckless endangerment and DUI and sentenced to serve 11 months and 29 days in the Montgomery County Jail. Records at ICE did not find him in the database of undocumented immigrant detainees. It is unknown if Morales-Martines was deported. ICE officials questioned him following the wreck, and that's the only reason local authorities know his name. • Answer:

If the illegal is found to be a Mexican national, Calderon should indeed foot the bill considering his government prints material to aid illegals in entering and living in the U.S. That company should also be made to pay some of the medical bills and for pain and suffering, since they also assisted the illegal alien by hiring him. The least they could do is give the man a job, when he should be owning the company anyway, if he was allowed to sue them for hiring someone they knew to be an illegal. The supporters should certainly chip in, since they advocate for the illegals. They help them find jobs, housing, social benefits and even advise them of their "rights." If you are going to provide them support, why not support them all the way and pay restitution for them when they hurt citizens. By the way, Goddess, I was paid a really nice compliment today. Someone accused you and I of being the same person! I hope you're as flattered as I am.
