Can my american fiancee use her medical assistant certificates to work in the uk?
-
My american fiancee is moving over to the uk to be with me. Before she arrives she is going to graduate as a medical assistant in the US. We are wondering will my girl be able to use her certificates that she graduates with to work as a medical assistant in the UK? No stupid comments please. Thanks all

Answer:
Absolutely not. She will need to take the equivalent exams and have enough experience acceptable to the UK authorities before she can work in the UK. And besides, what exactly is a "medical assistant"? Is it equivalent to a nurse practitioner? These are some of the issues that she will need to sort out.
