You need to get permission to marry in the UK. This means either applying for a fiance visa which you would have to apply for from Nigeria or a letter from the Home Office giving you permission to get married - I'm afraid it is not as simple as turning up at a registry office! Take the time to do your homework as UK immigration laws are getting stricter and stricter. Good luck

You do not need permission from the UK Government to get married. That is a personal issue and has nothing to do with immigration to the UK. This said, marriage to a UK citizen does not automatically grant you residence in the UK. I am assuming you are in the UK legally as a documented student studying in the UK. Once married, you just need to change your status by applying for Permanent Residence as the spouse of a UK citizen. You will still be assessed based on criminality and health check. Good luck. May I suggest you learn to use paragraphs as your writing is very difficult to follow.
