Which Country Have More Taxes Canada or USA?

• When you combine fedral tax, state tax, medicare and social security all these taxes in USA becomes equal to taxes in Canada?In USA there is no free medical whereas in Canada they provide free medical? Why people in USA complain that Canada have higher taxes?At least they are all safe from getting bankcorrupt in paying medical bills?

  I agree with you 1000%!!!!!! Once Americans have paid their numerous taxes, they end up with empty pockets..or darn near close to it. Not to mention these taxes provide very little in the way of a social net in case something disastrous happens and you can't work. Plus add on high medical insurance premiums, co pays and deductibles..and well it becomes silly really. Now add insult to injury....Americans have some of the lowest wages of any developed country. By the time they pay taxes, and health care costs, they come out way down the totem pole. I also agree that the cost of living in the UK is WAY cheaper than the USA. The NHS isn't free however..but if you ever find yourself without income you don't have to worry about how you are going to get medical care should you need it. In the USA 50% of all bankruptcies are due to medical bills and of those 3/4 had medical insurance....now that is telling!! College/universities aren't free in the UK any longer...however when compared to the USA they might as well be. Donna
