-
i stay in the state of California and i been permanent resident for about 10 years now, and around 3 years ago i got 2 misdemeanors which i herd 2 misdemeanors of a kind is a felony to immigration laws,it was in one charge but 2 counts of petty thief and commercial Burgerie which was i easily could of fought it, it was a really small amount since i was under influence of alcohol and i also had money in my violet that i could of easily payed it, but i just played guilty to them n payed the price but i didn't know that i might one day have problems with immigrations but i haven't really applied for renewal yet, i still got few more months and the only thing is that I'm afraid the day that i show up for the interview they just hold me in their custody, Bcuz i know i could fight it but the thing is that i don't wanna loose my job over it. other than those two charges i got one more misdemeanors which is a really small misdemeanor which is i got it way back maybe like 7 years ago and i got one trafficking ticket in my background so do i need to show up with a lawyer or i wont have any problems. also the day that i got arrested for that commercial Bergerie they had me to talk to two different INS cop in the county jail, at first they thought that commercial burgery was a felony, but at the court since it was small amount they dropped it to a misdemeanors so i don't really know, but people if you guys have any ideas please let me know whats the best to do in my situation??

Answer:
Theft and burglary are crimes of moral turpitude. Both could make you ineligible to renew your green card.

You will probably get a deportation order ... there is no interview ... Get anything you want to go back with together ..you may not get much time ... When you get home ..see if you can get back in school

While you can't become a US citizen, the I-90 form does not include a background check. If you had been convicted of a crime that is a dealbreaker for immigration purposes, USCIS would have already informed you that they would seek to take your Green Card away. In English: you'll be fine, but you may want to fly low from now on.

When you renew your card, you must tell them all crimes committed and conviction because if you lie, the Immigration will find out when you submit your finger print. Send them all the papers from the court that the case was dismissed or expunged. All Green Card Holders are subject for deportation and their card being revoked for any crimes and conviction. Any misdemeanor under the state law is considered a felony under immigration law. Get a lawyer.
