Whats the difference between initial interview and..?

    No, the initial interview is not enough for USCIS. It sounds like you are applying for a CR1 immigrant visa for your spouse. At the last stage of your CR1 immigrant visa petition, your spouse will go to the nearest US Embassy or Consulate to interview with an immigration officer. Your spouse will be issued a CR1 immigrant visa if you've been married for less than 2 years. Upon entry into the US, your spouse will obtain a "conditional" green card. When your conditional green card is close to expiring, you and your spouse will be interviewed again by an immigration officer. You will need to prove that your marriage was "in good faith." They will ask your spouse simple questions like what day do you take out the garbage, what you two do on the weekends, etc. Basically there are some people who come to the US on an immigrant visa for the purpose of getting a green card, and after they arrive in the US the "marriage" falls apart. The purpose of the second interview is to make sure that your love for each other is true.

There is just the one interview for 99% of applicants if the guns come out and you are lead to a cell ... there could be a problem You will normally be told on the day the outcome ..a few do like to notify you by mail later
