How can i immigrate to canada??

  • hi there, i am just wondering how i go about immigrating to canada. i am only 13 but i like to plan ahead:) i am a citizen of the uk and would like to live in canada so i can join the police force there, can i move there to do that? do i have to have one of those rare job skills?? i have checked the canadian immigration website and it states that you have to have one of the following jobs. i don't really understand it. can someone please tell me if i can immigrate to join the police force in canada! do they have to offer me a job? helpfull answers please thanks

    Since your only 13 years old get some college done and try to join the police force first in the UK. That way you have a better chance of being excepted. Being that your planning ahead, start searching for the proper applications you will need to fill out. Good Luck and hope you can make that a reality.

YES and Police are NOT in demand http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list you MUST have one of THESE jobs to able to immigrate i have checked the canadian immigration website and it states that you have to have one of the following jobs. i don't really understand it. You MUST have a job that is on the list (see link above) - if you do not have a job that is on the list, then you are NOT eligible to immigrate to Canada. What is it that you do not understand? Its plain english!!!! can someone please tell me if i can immigrate to join the police force in canada! do they have to offer me a job? NO - you must be a canadian citizen to join the police force and therefore you must work in another job that is in demand to be able to immigrate to Canada and work in that job in Canada for 3 or 4 years before you can apply to become a citizen.

canada operates a points-based immigration system. you'll need to be able to support yourself financially to live there. if you are moving for work, you'll need a secure job offer to get your visa. canadian companies can only offer jobs to foreign nationals if a canadian national can't perform the work. i would imagine that only canadians can serve in the police force so you'd have to emigrate first and then apply for a job once you've naturalized which can take 5 to 10 years.
