I had two driver license with two different name now DMV canceled my both DL. Am I gonna lose my Citizenship?
-
I entered in US with fake passport with different name and made a State ID and DL, but when I got my green card, I informed to immigration authority that I entered in US with fake passport, so they fined me $1000.00, but they didn't know that I was using fake name. When I got my green card, I made another Driver license with my real name and destroyed all previous Passport/State IDs/DL etc. Now I am US citizen and after 15 years later when DMV found out I had another DL in past with different name, they canceled my current Driver License. I'm just wondering what gonna happen next? Am I gonna lose my Citizenship or just I have to pay fine to DMV? coz I have already paid fine to immigration? I don't care if they canceled my Citizenship, coz US is not a land of opportunity anymore. I just don't wanna end up in jail.

Answer:
You committed identity theft/identity fraud, immigration fraud, use of a false/forged/stolen instrument, and more. How immigration let you get away with a $1000 fine, I'll never know. But then the identity theft/fraud issue has become so rampant that it is taken much more seriously now. Yes, your multiple identities have come to light, even if belatedly, and your citizenship can be revoked since it was based on fraud. Yes, you can end up in prison on identity theft/fraud and other charges. Your best bet is to leave. If you kept your original citizenship or can get citizenship elsewhere, then you can renounce US citizenship. Until you have citizenship elsewhere & renounce US citizenship, you are subject to US taxes on worldwide income. Failure to file and pay income taxes is likewise a felony, tax fraud, which can get you thrown in prison. You cannot get another drivers license, your identity theft/fraud is now in the open, and you should certainly consider getting out of dodge permanently - and very, very urgently.

Knowingly entering false information on a federal form is a felony. I do not know whether the DMV will inform the ICE. If your citizenship is revoked, you will be deported, but since you do not regard the US as a land of opportunity, you won't mind returning to your native country.

Wow, KK. You entered this country under fraudulent means, and now that it has outgrown its "usefulness" to you, you don't care about your citizenship. Fake passports, fake names, etc. No wonder this country didn't work out for you. It was probably harder for you to circumvent the idea of putting any REAL work into making it here than it's been for you to get around the law. I'm just amazed at the nerve. If you don't care, then leave. Good luck to you.

I hope you go to prison and face a permanent ban from our country..

Dude, you gotta be kidding me. The crap I went through to be able to stay here as a permanent resident apparently doesn't mean much anymore, if you managed to get citizenship...as they say, no good deed goes unpunished, and no criminal act, however heinous, goes unrewarded...utter BS. I hope you do end up in jail, at least you'll belong there, unlike the non-violent pot smokers and such that are already there and DON'T belong .

When you applied for permanent resident status under section 245(i) and paid an extra fee (not a fine) to adjust status, if your application for that benefit did not have fraud as an element, then you are not going to lose your citizenship through revocation. As for your drivers license, that's not an immigration matter. DMV apparently has its own procedures for people who obtain licenses by fraud. As there are 50 states with 50 different sets of laws, it's impossible to predict if you will be prosecuted or allowed to drive in the future.
