  • do i need my enhanced id to get into canada form the us.? or can i just use the paper work i get from the secretary of state when i apply for it until it comes.?

  • Answer:

If you are a US citzen, you require a passport (either card or booklet type) if you are traveling by air. If you are crossing at a ground or sea crossing, you may use either a passport (card or booklet), an enhanced driver's license, or a NEXUS pass. If you are not a US citizen, you must supply a passport from your country. If the passport is not from a visa-exempt country you must also have a valid Canadian visa or a visa US green card. Canadian Border Services will require the actual ID... not just a receipt, application, copy, etc.
