Am I the only one that is lost?

If lost passport is recovered, can it be attached with new one?

  • Hi, I had lost me passport 2 years back and i reported that and got a new one. Ofcourse the passport people might have cancelled the lost one. However now i have recovered the lost passport. So what i want is that either the passport officials approve this passport and cancel the new one OR they simply attach the lost passport to the new one?? Why i want this is because i have foreign visa stamps on the lost passport which now i want to be either attached or renewed. Please let me know if it is possible?

  • Answer:

if you have foriegn visa'a in your old passport then take it with you but check with the country you are travelling to or they might refuse you entry the british passport office told me i could travel with the visa's in my old passport (they had cut the corner off the passport making it invalid) i got to immigration in west africa and was turned around and sent home on the next available flight which was a little inconvienient

Once you have reported a passport lost it is annulled and the visa in it also. You should have reported the lost to the country where the visa was approved as soon as you could. Now it is invalid. You cannot attach it to the new one.

I would check with the American consoulate or whoever issued the passports.

Lose it again ... its gone ....you don't want the passport office to think there is some fraudulent use
