How to move to the US?

How can I move to the US as a Canadian?

  • I uses to live in California but because of being illegal I had to move along with my family to Canada. I'm 13 and I don't like Canada. People tell me that I will like It over time but its just not gonna happen. I'm currently in refugee status. If I don't get accepted here in Canada I'll be sent back to Mexico which is what I prefer even if its dangerous, but in case I do get accepted I'm not gonna live my life in Canada so how do I move to US as a Canadian. I'm not opd enough for college visa so how can it be done as a 13 year? I just want to know how its possible. Not that its gonna happen.

To immigrate to US, you must obtain immigrant visa. To obtain immigrant visa, you must have a sponsor who has to file Petition for you. Only with approved petition, you can apply visa at US Embassy in your country. A sponsor can be your immediate family member (spouse, parent, child, or sibling) who is either US Citizen or US Permanent Resident. US Employer who is hiring you on permanent basis can be a sponsor as well. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_1326.html http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=ae853ad15c673210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=ae853ad15c673210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

You will have to go though the immigration process, which is hard, but can be done. Now you have to take a test (which, if you know your facts about the US, you'll be fine). Communicate the government about papers. GOOD LUCK.

You qualify for a work visa and immigrate just like anyone else.

It can't be done as a 13 year old.

Do US immigration authorities have evidence that you lived in the US illegally? If not, it will make things easier. As a canadian, it will be a little bit easier to get a US visa. Generally, you will need to have an employer sponsor you to move and work in America. As a canadian, being able to visit and interview for jobs without a visa will be helpful. Or you could apply for a student visa if you want to study in the United States, however as a Canadian studying in Canada will be much cheaper... So yes, you can, but without sponsorship, relatives, or employment in the US it will be difficult.
