How do you become an LPN?

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO BE ELIGABLE TO BECOME A LPN?

  • I AM 22 YEARS OLD. I WAS CHARGED WITH BATTERY IN 2006. IN 2007 I TOOK A COURSE TO BECOME A CNA. AFTER PASSING THE COURSE I HAD TO GO BEFORE THE FLORIDA BOARD OF NURSING BECAUSE OF MY CHARGE. THEY TOLD BE THAT I SHOULD WAIT 2 YEARS AND TRY AGAIN. IT'S BEEN 3 YEARS SINCE I GOT MY BATTERY CHARGE AND I WANT TO TAKE A COUSRE TO BECOME A LPN. I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD NOT GET IT EXPUNGED OR SEALED BECAUSE I WAS FOUND GUILTY... SO WHAT DO I DO? I DON'T WANT TO WASTE MY TIME AGAIN BY TAKING THE CLASS FOR NOTHING OR NOT BEING ABLE TO GET A JOB.

  • Answer:

Where the charge is battery I'm not sure you'll ever be able to become an LPN. As a nurse you care for the most vulnerable of the population. Ultimately it will be up to the Florida State Board of Nursing.
