Is a US architectural degree recognized in Malaysia?

Is Pass Bachelor Degree from UK recognized in Australia as Bachelor Degree?

  • I am currently applying for professional worker migrant visa. My occupation was Computer Designer, and it requires at least an Australian Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification. I was graduated from a university in UK. I have obtained a Pass Bachelor Degree (means no honours). Since the classification in UK and Aus is different, could anyone tell me if my qualification can be recognized as Bachelor Degree in Aus?

  • Answer:

Ring the Australian Embassy & ask them. The information you've reproduced is about what the length of degree courses, not the grade of the degree which is what you really need to know.

Before you apply for a visa you must obtain a positive skills assessment from the Australian Computer Society (ACS). The ACS will accept your Bachelor Degree, but will also require several years of experience in your nominated IT specialty. The number of years of experience required will be adjusted to reflect the standard of your degree. http://www.acs.org.au/index.cfm?action=show&conID=skillguidelines You should be aware that if your specialty is not on the Migrant Occupations in Demand List (MODL), you have little chance of obtaining a visa without a delay of years. Following recent changes to the migration program, only MODL visa applications have any chance of being processed within the foreseeable future. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/pdf/migration-program.pdf
