Can international students in Canada bring along their Spouse and Kids?

How long is the process to bring my spouse from India to Canada?

  • Hello Everyone, I got married Dec 24, 2008 and applied for my spouse to come to Canada on March 05, 2009. Now i have a letter from the Canadian Immigration that i got on March 24, 2009 that states that i am eligible to sponsor him and that my file is forwarded to New Delhi for the final process. Now i go and check our case status every day to see what the progress is but i don't see any thing. My Question as you guys can all see is about how much time does it take the Canadian High Commission in India to go through the case and take a judgment? Again thank you all for taking time to help me out here, really appreciate it. :-) Thank You

It is up to you to find out how long the process will take. Nobody else here can give you specific information. What I can advise is for you to exercise patience. Immigration takes a long time and if you start pestering immigration officials, you will wind up costing them the time they need to process your application. Please just have patience. These things don't happen in a matter of a few days.
