What are some logical reasons why undocumented immigrants should be able to attend college.?

Here is a logical reason against illegal immigrants attending college: Illegal immigration is a crime. To allow illegal immigrants to attend college would be rewarding illegal behavior. Everyone else has to follow the law, so why should illegal immigrants be rewarded for breaking it? I haven't stated any logical reasons in favor of illegal immigration, because there are none.

No logical reason what so ever!! and no immigrant is undocumented!! You are speaking of illegal aliens. Reasons why not - cost, crime and disease!!

Because they are people, like you and I and they should be allowed the same opportunities.

Because they are such a large portion of our population that to bar them from the tools for getting a high-paying job leads to a generation with millions of permanently unemployed people. 1) Tens of thousands of brilliant people will be unable to be part of our economy due to lack of higher education. 2) The cost of maintaining a permanently poor underclass will drag down the economy: a) downward pressure on wages for low-educated workers, b) millions of additional families on welfare c) millions more kids born into poverty for the next twenty years. In effect: if you want a happy, prosperous society, educate as many people as possible. If you want a society burdened with high unemployment, low wages, a government spending more and more money on social problems every year, then damn the expense, just don't let them get a higher education.

since they are already here, they should attend school and college for the benefit of themselves, our society, and everybody. but no equal protection-violative dream act or amnesty. here are my suggestions: COMPLETE SOLUTIONS AND DETERRENCE TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION: (1) YES to secure our borders with zero illegal entry goal, with more border patrol agents, with using our military, civilian volunteers, aircrafts, satellites, drones, gadgets, fences, etc., whatever it takes. (2) YES to fully funded, federal law requiring MANDATORY AND NATIONAL, "secure communities" and "e-verify" programs; and add jail time to "e-verify" employers-violators; (3) YES to fully funded, federal law constitutionally empowering state, county, city, and local police or law enforcement officers, with adequate non-discrimination training, to check for id/legal residency during their normal police duties, such as traffic stops, just like what local police do in foreign countries you visit (such as in mexico) when you happened to be stopped by their police; and detain and transfer immediately suspected illegal aliens to uscis; (4) YES to full federal funding of all such programs, with such funds given to each participating state in proportion to deportations. then, with respect to illegal aliens already in the country, with "amnesty" defined as "any path to permanent residency or citizeship BASED ON NEW LAW", we dont have $300 billions+ and the resources to deport them all; we dont want to inhumanely separate families; and we dont want to aggravate our quite poor economic condition; so, we should: enact a federal law that after paying fines, taxes, passing criminal check, YES to renewable, 5 YR. TEMPORARY GUEST WORKER’S/STUDENT’S VISAS to make illegal aliens in the country legal (NOT PERMANENT RESIDENTS); allow such aliens to: have drivers license/state id/legal residency id, ssn (no more identity thieves); work and be productive, pay taxes, social security, qualify for ss retirement; GO TO SCHOOL/COLLEGE; and join our military. YES TO EQUAL PROTECTION AND EQUAL WAIT--that all applicants for permanent residency or citizenship must apply, qualify, and WAIT IN LINE BASED ON EXISTING LAWS. NO TO “AMNESTY”—NO to “any path to permanent residency or citizenship BASED ON NEW LAW”. AMNESTY IS A SURE AND PROVEN ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MAGNET; it did not work before; it does not work, and it would never work.
