What can I do with an Interior Decorating certificate?

My application for passport was rejected because DOB didn't match in birth certificate and school certificate.?

  • My DOB in birth certificate is in year 1988. In school leaving certificate is 1989. I did not know which documents to submit, so I hired an agent and he submitted both birth certificate and school leaving certificate, without knowing that this could block my passport application. I got notification from the passport office that the application is denied because birth certificate does not match the DOB written in the school leaving certificate. Now what are my options of getting the passport? Should I re-apply for passport with JUST birth certificate from a different address in New Delhi? If not, what should I do. Can I get the affidavit done that, my real birth date is in 1988, but it was by mistake written 1989 in the school leaving certificate? I live in Faridabad, BTW. I appreciate all the answers but this question is basically targeted for the users from YAHOO INDIA.

    Hi..Rajesh .. U can reapply with your Birth certificate or SLC ... but better option is affidavit it ... For your safety ....and please dnt submit all legal papers through agent please . Regards

you shud go for another application, its not like if they rejectd it urnt gonna re-apply, jus make sure that u only provide them with only one certificate, either d birth certificate or d other one, i dont think that they ask for both, but if they do, be ready an affidavit, u got d answers urself, u dont need to ask

I think your actual DOB may be in 1988,but your Parents may change the year as 1989 while admitting you in the school to cover the loss of time happened before the school admission or for any other reasons.The DOB entered in School Leaving Certificate is FINAL and it will only be taken as OFFICIAL for all purposes.You need not enclose the "Birth Certificate" which is not supporting the school certificate with your application for Pass Port.
